1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using AmberKit ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
AmberKit is a lifestyle and utility application that helps you:
- Record photos and notes about transparent everyday items
- Track yellowing levels and surface changes over time
- Compare before-and-after cleaning results
- Set review reminders for re-checking items
- Purchase Points through Apple In-App Purchase to unlock additional capacity
All observation data is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export content using in-app features.
3. Account
Quick Login generates local credentials on your device. No external account registration is required.
- Log Out clears your active session but retains credentials for future Quick Login.
- Delete Account permanently removes all local data including credentials, Points balance, and observation records. This action is irreversible.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and any data stored on it.
4. Points and In-App Purchases
AmberKit uses a virtual currency called Points, purchased through Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit). Available tiers:

Points may be redeemed for extra item slots, comparison exports, review reminder slots, and voice note packs as described in the app.
- All purchases are processed by Apple. We do not store payment card data.
- Points have no cash value and are non-transferable.
- Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policies.
- We do not offer a Restore Purchases feature for consumable Points.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or circumvent in-app purchase systems
- Use the app in a way that could harm the app or other users
6. Intellectual Property
AmberKit, including its design, code, and content, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Your observation photos, notes, and records remain yours. You grant no license to us because data stays on your device.
7. Disclaimers
AmberKit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that observations, yellowing assessments, or cleaning comparisons are scientifically accurate. The app is a personal tracking tool, not professional advice.
We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, app deletion, or account deletion.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device. We may discontinue or modify the app at any time without notice.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws in your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
